In 2003, two researchers claimed to have measured the speed of gravity.
Gravity was said to propagate at the speed of light, a value close to that predicted by Einstein, but several theorists disputed this measurement by Fomalont and and Kopeikin, as “seriously flawed”. Kenneth Nordtvedt said that the team was seeing a gravitational analogue of the force of magnetism, caused by electronsmoving at close to the speed of light.
